Sergeant Azima Kandie was a member of the Kenyan Navy. She becomes the new VBSS operator aboard USS Nathan James between seasons 3 and 4.

- Azima appeared to flirt with Lieutenant Carlton Burk and Senior Chief Petty Officer Taylor and definitely flirted with Lieutenant Alisha Granderson, suggesting that she is bisexual (In Media Res, The Pillars Of Hercules.)
- During Seasons 4 and 5, Kandie and Wolf develop a romantic relationship, and begin dating.
