Berchem is a member of the Mountain Warfare Unit aboard the Nathan James.
He and Smith are first seen training the other sailors as a part of Tac Team One and were later assigned to Cobra team under Lt. Danny Green to retrieve equipment for Dr. Scott. (“Welcome to Gitmo”)
Berchem and Smith later established a perimeter during the meeting between Chandler and Ruskov and were assigned to scout out a mine field blocking the ship path, but were gunned down by Ruskov's gunboat. (“Dead Reckoning”)
