Djamila Zeddam was the grandmother of Mahmoud Zeddam.
Events of The Last Ship[]
After Mahmoud stole the Elaeis Virilis seeds from his boss Omar Bin Dalik after he stole them from the Global Seed Vault he gave them to Djamila for safe keeping. Djamila is seen driving to the Atlas Mountain Range and loads the seeds onto a camel and heads to her home in Algeria. (“In Medias Res”)
Djamila reaches Oran and returns home and takes care of a plant infected with the Red Rust when Omar knocks on her door. Djamila and Omar discuss the progression of the Red Rust while sitting at a table. She denies knowing anything about the seeds but Omar notices her eyeing her bag and proceeds to search it but can't find the seeds and flips the table in frustration. When Omar notices the seeds are hidden in one of the table legs Djamila stabs Omar in the back but fails to kill him and Omar slits Djamila's neck with his sword, killing her. (“Bread and Circuses”)
