Captain Harry Sinclair is a British Royal Naval officer under the guise of a trawler captain carrying Middle Eastern refugees on board in which was disabled.

Biography[]

Before the Red Flu outbreak, Harry grew up in the United Kingdom with James Fletcher and became friends with him. Both joined the British Royal Navy and MI-6 with Harry becoming Fletcher's CO and served on many missions together saving Fletcher's life many times, including one time in 2009 during Operation Rossi. During the Red Flu pandemic, Harry fought in the Immune Wars against Sean Ramsey and his army and managed to survive until the Americans defeated him and spread the cure across the world.

Despite this, Harry resented the Americans, believing they took too long to spread the cure and didn't come fast enough to stop the Immunes from massacring most of their people. After the United Kingdom government was restored, Harry and Fletcher went back into the service and Harry recommended Fletcher to work with the Americans when a new version of the Flu called the Red Rust started destroying their crops in hopes of finding a cure.

Events of The Last Ship[]

Harry is heard on the radio broadcasting a distress call from his trawler ship the El Alamein which is disabled and the crew of Nathan James responds to his distress call. Harry gathers all the other Middle Eastern refugees onto the deck of the El Alamein aboard their ship and after they are all searched by VSBB teams they are allowed aboard the Nathan James. Comm. Fletcher sits together with Harry as they exchange greetings and Fletcher asks what he wants.

Harry tells him he has a message from the Riverhouse to be delivered personally that they didn't want to risk being decrypted by the Americans: the partnership with the Americans has ended and the UK is going to develop a cure to the Red Rust alone. Fletcher asks how since the UK's labs are in worse shape then the US's, Harry reveals that Dr. Paul Vellek contacted them and offered the first group of plague resistant crops if they steal the seeds from the Americans. Harry tells Fletcher he is going to have to steal the seeds and hand them to Harry before they reach the Americans plane in Naples.

Fletcher worries that he will be executed but Harry assures his role will be secret and Harry will discreetly get off the ship while Fletcher throws the Americans off his trail to prevent a war between the two countries. Fletcher argues against this but Harry angrily says the Americans didn't work hard enough to help them in the past and tells Fletcher he is sorry about his friends, but this is a good deal and their people need this to survive. Harry finishes by saying they live in a "dog eat dog world" now and even mentions eating a dog at one point and reminds Fletcher of his duty to his own country. (“Allegiance”)

When Fletcher reports the Americans are going to airlift the seeds off an airstrip on Tregua Island after their first plane was shot down, Harry reminiscences about the Rossi Mission. Harry tells Fletcher their time table has been pushed up with this being the Americans' last chance to move the seeds and that plane will be heavily guarded as a result. Harry stresses espionage as a frontal assault is too risky and they can't suspect the British had any involvement in this. Seeing Fletcher's hesitation, Harry says Fletcher maybe going soft while Fletcher retorts that Harry eating dogs has probably turned him feral.

Harry stands up reminding Fletcher of their orders from the Prime Minister and threatens to kill some of Fletcher's friends, specifically Sasha Cooper, if he doesn't help steal the seeds discreetly. Fletcher responds by threatening to kill Harry and claim he was secretly a pirate with no one suspecting anything about him. Harry reminds Fletcher that he vouched for him, grew up with him and that if the Americans were in his position that they wouldn't hesitate to follow their President's orders to sell Fletcher out. Harry decides to steal the seeds himself while Fletcher gets gear for them to use and gives him a phone number to call Lucia Vellek instead of home to prepare their extraction.

When the Nathan James heads into a storm to try and lose the Greek Navy pursuing them, Harry takes advantage of the swerving ship to fake having an injury so he can be moved to the medical bay. While listening to Heggen give his diagnosis, Harry gets up and kills him by stabbing him in the neck with a scalpel and steals the seeds while also killing the two guards out front. Harry flees through the mess hall and heads up to the deck when Lts. Carlton Burk and Danny Green spot and chase him. Harry makes it to the deck and uses a fire axe to block the door to buy him some time. Harry runs into Chief O'Connor who tries to get him inside warning it is dangerous out here when Harry stabs him in the neck. O'Connor fights back with Harry trying to stab O'Connor again but is shot twice in the back by Capt. Chandler and is forced to flee as O'Connor dies from his wounds. Harry struggles to stands and when Fletcher arrives, Harry hands Fletcher the seeds saying it is up to him now and dies from his wounds as Fletcher escapes. (“Tempest”)

Harry's corpse is taken to the medical bay where it is examined. After interrogating the refugees, it is determined Harry sneaked onboard their boat late and then replaced the smuggler the refugees paid to smuggle them into Europe. Later, the UK denied sanctioning his and Fletcher's actions. (“Feast”)
