Lieutenant Landau is an Avocet security guard, formerly a Maryland State Trooper, given orders from Amy Granderson to keep a close eye on her daughter, Alisha.
Events of The Last Ship[]
Season 1[]
Landau is one of the state troopers who accompanies Pete Norris as he meets the crew of the Nathan James at the dock. She shakes hands with Captain Tom Chandler and exchanges slightly flirtatious banter with Tex Nolan before heading back to Avocet with the others. When Alisha attempts to run after discovering what Amy was doing to people in Olympia, Landau captures her and brings her to Amy. (“No Place Like Home”)
Season 2[]
Landau reports to Amy that they can't find Chandler, or his friends and family after they shot two state troopers and Amy gives a directive that nothing slows down Olympia's work. Landau is later assigned to guard over Alisha and escorts her to Avocet's executive wing while defending Amy's actions to Alisha. When Alisha asks if the citizens living in Avocet know what her mother is doing Landau simply responds that they are grateful to be part of a community. Landau later leads an armed escort guarding Amy while she takes a walk outside to talk with her daughter. (“Unreal City”)
Landau and her team are still with Amy inside Avocet when Chandler and his allies cripple the power plant. Amy asks her if it is a scheduled shutdown and Landau replies that she doesn't know. After Amy realizes Chandler's allies shut down the plant, she orders her troopers to take back the power plant by any means. Alisha escapes in the confusion and Amy orders Landau to recapture her.
Landau later reports that Avocet has been breached, Hamada is dead, and Kara, Rachel and Alisha are all unaccounted for. Amy orders all the exits sealed and commands Landau to find her daughter. When the power is restored, Landau finds Alisha and holds her at gunpoint. Alisha tries to convince Landau to help get the civilains out of the crossfire, but Landau ignores her and attempts to take her to Amy. Alisha grabs Landau's gun and Landau accidentally shoots her in the struggle, to her utter shock. Landau is last seen fleeing in terror, leaving Alisha on the ground bleeding, her final fate unknown.
